Banana Ginger Smoothie

Soothe digestion, heartburn, nausea, and other stomach trouble with the fresh ginger in this natural remedy smoothie recipe.
 

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 3/4 c (6 oz) vanilla yogurt
  • 1tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger

COMBINE:

The banana, yogurt, honey, and ginger. Blend until smooth.
 
 
 
 

Green smoothie

This sweet smoothie packs in plenty of nutritious ingredients, such as spinach, flaxseeds and banana, with an optional spoonful of maca powder for a natural energy boost

 Ingredients:

  • 250ml of milk
  • 1tbsp maca powder
  • 1tbsp ground flaxseed
  • Pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 medjool date, stoned
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • handful cavolo nero

METHOD:

Pour the milk into a high-speed blender then add the ground flaxseed, maca powder (if using) and the cinnamon. Add the remaining ingredients then blitz until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.





 Sunshine smoothie

Start your day off with a little ray of sunshine - a low-fat smoothie that's two of your five-a-day and tasty too!

 Ingredients:

  • 500ml carrot juice, chilled.
  • 200g pineaple (fresh or canned).
  • 2 bananas, broken into chunks.
  • small piece ginger, peeled.
  • 20g cashew nuts.
  • juice 1 lime.

METHOD:

 Put the ingredients in a blender and whizz until smooth. Drink straight away or pour into a bottle to drink on the go. Will keep in the fridge for a day.





Breakfast super-shake

This smoothie is high in natural fats and sugar. Ideal if you need some fuel for intense exercise

Ingredients:

  • 100ml milk.
  • 2 tbsp natural yogurt.
  • 1 banana.
  • 150g frozen fruits of the forest.
  • 50g blueberries
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp goji berries
  • 1 tsp mixed seeds
  • 1 tsp honey

 METHOD:

Put the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
